(Preparation of the cruise ANT-XXIX/3)

04.07.2012 (Wednesday).  I buy a lot of technical gear and tools for the cruise (e.g. sheets of vinyl for protecting the net of the dredge, aquarium material for keeping specimens alive when sorting is not possible immediately, inox carabiners at the local diving shop.

05 and 06.07.2012 (Thursday and Friday). More shopping for the cruise.

30.07.2012 (Monday). Julian Gutt informs me that one working group had to cancel its participation to ANT-XXIX/3 . As a consequence he can offer two more berths to the already existing research teams. I immediately apply for one more berth for Marie.

31.07.2011 (Tuesday). I send a message to Cord Drücker (AWI) asking him if I may bring him the non-dangerous goods to AWI, Bremerhaven, in two times on 03.09.2012 and 10.09.2012. More shopping for the cruise.
